Placenta Care Herbs: aka "Lotus Birth" : prevents infection, safely dries out placenta, and reduces the decaying smell.
--> Placenta Care Only
This herbal mix is for the PLACENTA - after birth, when you do not detach the cord from the newborn. The purpose is to retain its integrity for the benefit of the newborn's overall development and health. The name "lotus birth" is a new term for this traditional practice. The baby, cord, and placenta are viewed as one unit. The process leaves the umbilical cord attached to the placenta and baby until it naturally falls off. Each day the family must cleanse and redress the placenta with the herbs. The honoring of the placenta as a sacred tradition symbolizes that during this time after birth, the mother and baby should be catered too and cared for so she and her newborn can bond, rest, and heal following birth. Her sisters would gather around the new mother, cleaning, feeding, and ensuring she is cared for physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Most people then bury or cremate the remaining placenta as it can not be ingested with this care method.

Lions Mane: Mushroom for the Mind
Lion’s Mane is rich in a multitude of important compound: beta-glucans, which are responsible for antitumor growth, immuno-modulating antioxidants and neuro-protective chemicals.
Reishi: Mushroom of Immortality
Much of the polysaccharides in reishi mushroom are associated with immune functions, and if taken over time can significantly support the immune system. It is also known to improve sleep, reduce stress and fatigue.
Cordyceps: Mushroom for Cellular Energy
Cordyceps are an incredible energy boosting mushroom because of their ability to increase ATP production through pre-cursor compounds like adenosine and cordycepin. ATP is the compounds which gives our cells energy. This is why Cordyceps is recommended when it comes to physical performance. In TCM, Cordyceps is also used for lung related issues like asthma or even seasonal allergies.

Chaga is the mushroom that is not a mushroom. It is rich in antioxidants, and supports immune function, liver health, brain health and increases longevity.

What is Mycelium?
Mycelium is the root system of the mushroom, it is the precursor to the fruiting body we simply know as a mushroom. Mycelium and mushrooms are not synonymous. The key active compounds found in mushrooms that research has linked to health benefits are: beta-D-glucans, triterpenoids and ergosterol. Further Explained Below:
-Beta-D-glucans have been identified as primary sources of medicinal activity; they are a naturally occurring structural component of the cell walls of mushrooms that can activate or potentiate both innate and adaptive immunity.
-Triterpenoids play a complementary role with beta-glucans in immune system activation; primary activities include: liver protection, antioxidant activity, reduced histamine response and reduced inflammation.
-Furthermore, a sterol called ergosterol is present in all fungi which has recently been discovered to also have immunomodulating and antioxidant properties. Ergosterol in fungi is similar to cholesterol in humans.
As myriad of mushroom benefits for health spark global interest, Nights With Luna prides itself on always using mushrooms of the highest quality with the most benefits for optimal health.
In Summary
That was a lot of information, yes? That’s because the Fungi Kingdom is one of the most diverse groups of organisms that are neither plant nor animal, and absorb nutrition from other organisms while playing the important role of ecological decomposers. Suffice it to say, these mushrooms (lion’s mane, reishi, chaga, cordyceps, chaga, turkey tail, shiitake and maitake) offer a slew of health benefits.
I am committed to providing you with real wisdom, so that you can become empowered to start adding these super organisms into your diet right away! It is SO important to understand exactly what you’re consuming. I truly believe that the quality of products determines the quality of health, and I will continue to strive towards greatness and transparency in my process by offering you products that are made with genuine mushrooms; grown organically as nature intended.
And always, mixed with Love.

Nourishment Tea
(prenatal/postnatal/daily vitamin replacement tea)

A mixture of nourishing herbs that are packed with iron, vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. Some herbs, like nettle, dandelion, yellow dock, burdock, & sea moss, are good well-rounded herbs that generate wellness, and others, like red raspberry leaf are particularly valuable for pregnant women. My tea recipe relies on multiple herbs but mainly: nettle which serves as a good general tonic and red raspberry leaf which have both been used in herbal medicine for pregnancy and birth for mothers of many generations. Beyond these, there are other herbs that are safe for pregnancy too: mineral-rich sea moss, immune fighting elderflower & bilberry; plus rosehips for their vitamin C- just know there’s many herbs to enhance the organic vitamins and minerals packed in this mixture. Each herb that I included will convey deep nourishment not only for mama, but the whole family too !
Dosing For Pregnancy/Postpartum Vitamin Replacement:
Among the midwives who recommend herbal pregnancy teas over prenatal vitamin supplements, most recommend about one cup a day in the first trimester; two cups a day during the second trimester; and up to a quart a day in the third trimester & in postpartum for breastfeeding
Dosing for Multivitamin Replacement (Kids/Men/Women):
Drink 1 cup of tea Hot or Cold daily. Children under 10 take 1/2 cup of tea daily. Infants old enough to drink water can have 1/4 cup diluted in Spring Water daily. Can Increase Dose to Twice daily when sick.

My mixture is designed to be an alternative to prenatal/postnatal vitamins or daily multivitamins for men, women, and children 😋 and YUM it is TASTY !

My recipe is premixed to make slow steeped tea & can be sweetened with organic Dates, Agave, or Honey to taste. You can chill it in the fridge and drink over ice; adding in your favorite fruits or add the tea to your smoothies. It is also great to reheat on the stove for a nice warm cup of tea before bed.
