Do You Need A Holistic Doula or A Sacred Birth Keeper ?

A Birthkeeper holds the sacred wisdom surrounding physiological birth and walks with women in their childbearing years. They are the keepers of sacred space and able to serve the woman to her desire and fullest extent of the law. I practice by supplying genuine care and concern with no limit, utilizing all of my teachings and certificates to educate and support my families. Birth does not have limitations, neither should a support person (outside of refraining from offering medical assistance). A woman being supported by a Birthkeeper would likely be supported to the fullest extent of the law and her individual teaching and trainings -where as most Doulas aren’t able to or their certification will be stripped. Some Doula's certificates could be taken simply for advocating for their mother's wellbeing. I believe in fighting for my mothers health and personal preferences; I also believe in empowering mothers to speak out for themselves with educated information to make the best decisions for her care.

I am a certified Holistic Doula by Whapio of The Matrona (The Matrona | Holistic Midwifery and Birth, Healing and Wisdomkeeping). The experience of my home birth and the teachings from my traditional midwife & Whapios teachings inspired me to dive into supporting a mothers Wholistic Wellbeing; body, mind, spirit as a whole. I take pride in my continued education in many aspects and offer my wholeness to each of my clients in many ways. Over the years I was being called to more and more homebirths and noticing the families I was attracting, started shifting my knowledge to holistic home birth and freebirth/unassisted birth support. I have continued my education alongside shamans, herbalists, naturopathic doctors, tribal elders, traditional birthworkers, and traditional midwives since. I bring all of these areas of education to support my birthkeeper clients. My Birthkeeper clients must join my Private Members Association (PMA) to receive services from me. A PMA is further explained below and spoken about in depth at consultations/prenatal meetings. I feel the Birthkeeper can bridge the gap of support & education and often offer many areas of service.

But guess what! Doulas can, and some do this, as well! YES! I doula too ! My birthwork career actually started as a Holistic Doula in 2017 and I am happy to continue to offer these services and be accessible to every type of birth. If you have a care provider present, or birth in a hospital or birth center, then I practice as a Certified Holistic Doula. This doesn't change the services I offer below, but it does change my role in your birth team and I gladly accept that to best service all of my families. I have a separate contract for Doula families that covers my liability as a birth attendant with a care provider. We will discuss my packages, prices, and contracts at our initial consult.
